Keto English Toffee: A Sweet Low-Carb Treat
Ingredients:
- Butter
- Erythritol (or other keto-friendly sweeteners)
- Almonds (chopped)
- Sugar-free chocolate chips
- Vanilla extract
- Sea salt (optional)
Instructions:
- Melt Butter: In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the sweetener and stir until dissolved.
- Cook Mixture: Continue cooking the butter-sweetener mixture for about 8-10 minutes, until it thickens and turns golden brown.
- Prepare Pan: Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and spread the chopped almonds evenly on it.
- Pour Toffee: Pour the toffee mixture over the almonds, spreading it evenly.
- Add Chocolate: Sprinkle sugar-free chocolate chips on top and let them melt. Spread the melted chocolate over the toffee.
- Chill: Refrigerate for 1-2 hours until the toffee hardens.
- Serve: Break into pieces and enjoy!
